NFTs for Time Travelers
Like hip-hop, NFTs have four essential elements. In hip-hop, they are rapping, breaking, graffiti, dj’ing.
In NFTs, the four elements are as follows:
- Art
- Creators
- Community
- Utility
The four elements of NFTs can be in any order. Each element represents a quality which gives value to any NFT/NFT project. One great element alone can imbue any NFT with value. That said, NFTs which are imbued with the solidity of the four elements in unity and integrity can have limitless potential for value, success, and reward.
I say that to say this. Most people who know today know me as Mike Mongo, astronaut teacher and author of The Astronaut Instruction Manual. Folks who have known me longer than 15 years may be aware of background with art. Specifically, as a graffiti artist and co-founder of OBEY.
Yet there is importantly something more to me than even that.
Over the course of my life, since I began creating and self-defining, I have always created and self-defined as writer.
In the year 2000, well before I wrote and published The Astronaut Instruction Manual, and–significantly–prior to the monumental event of September 11, 2001–on a manual typewriter I completed the greater part of a working manuscript titled A Book With Wings (For People Who Dream of Flying).
The way I can best explain the importance of ABWW is that it has informed nearly every aspect of who I am as a person and creator, from before working on OBEY to after becoming an astronaut teacher.
The book is an operating manual to the phenomenon of evolution for we humans. The book is authored for people who I characterize as being post-homo sapiens, we who evolved (past-tense) and who are individuals members of the variety of branches of the genus Homo which I refer to in friendly conversation as being nomo sapiens or, simply, nomos.
There are approximately 50 hand-bound copies of A Book With Wings, plus the electronic documents. (The original typed manuscript was lost in Montreal, Quebec, circa 2005.) Important to emphasize here for context is that ABWW is an instruction manual for time travelers.
ABWW is simple but not easy. However, it is simple. Matterfully, it is my conjecture that the cumulative effect of the ideas and thought processes of ABWW enables us as a civilization to have discovered the most unexpected location in time and space, a location I have pinpointed on the map of Time as “Everything Working Out All The Time For Everyone Without Harm To Anyone”. It is a most excellent location in time and space. I call it everywen for short.
However–and this is the thing–not everyone wants to read a book.
Which leads us to ‘Mongo Mugs’ NFTs.
Granting specific utility to holders of Mongo Mugs NFTs, each holder of the twenty-two (22) 1st-genesis Mongo Mugs NFTs gets to learn how to time travel. I personally get to train each holder how to time travel.
[Full-disclosure: The truth, the actual truth, makes me laugh. It always does. That’s canon from ABWW and it is how I know the difference between what seems true and what actually is true. As I pointed out, it’s simple, not easy.]
